A mailable, portable video player was created to show a short promotional film about the Cessna TTx. By using video, Textron were able to ‘sell the dream’ much more effectively to potential customers. The upmarket, high-tech aspect of the new mailer was a much better brand fit and by appealing to recipients in a more sophisticated manner, generated a much higher level of engagement. Added value was achieved by allowing users to upload their own videos to the player, thus keeping the message ‘live’ by incorporating longer-term usefulness for the item.
